Software problems can cause loss of data. It is common for a single server to run lots of websites together; sometimes a problem with one of these adversely affects all other websites.

Environmental issue can occur where the server is being held such as a fire or flood.

Accidental deletion of important files. This is increased if more people have access to those files.

Most websites come with a data backup plan, but many users fail to implement them.

The information on a website (stores, forums, WordPress, calendars, traffic logs, email), is constantly changing.

On occasion, hackers or individuals obtain the password to a website and remove or replace files. Without a backup, this usually means starting over from scratch.

Peace of mind. Many hours and dollars are spent creating and populating a website, and it can all be gone in a minute.

Who is responsible for website backups?
You are! Hosting companies have a ‘Loss of Liability’ clause stating they do their best but cannot guarantee against data loss. It is not your web designer’s responsibility either. Blaming a web designer for a hosting problem is like blaming your mechanic because you got stuck in a traffic jam.

Our system will backup everything including all your files, databases, emails, logs, and all configuration settings.

How Much Space Will One Backup File Take?
Each backup file size depends on what is being backed up. If your website contain mostly texts and images, the backup file size can be as little as 20% of your actual disk usage. For example, if your account disk usage shows 400 MB, each backup file will take about 80 MB of your backup space. If your website contain mostly video, audio, photos, pdf’s, etc., the compression won’t be as good as text and will result in a much larger backup file.

How Do I Restore My Full Backup?
Simply email us a request and we will restore your site as quickly as possible.

By completing this form you are requesting that your website and additional web related files be backed up to an offsite server, automatically, on a periodic basis. The service cost is $25 per year for up to 1 GB of backup storage space. Three backups are maintained at all times; daily, weekly and monthly. Once you submit this form your backup will be configured and your account will be charged for the service.
